- The reputation system is a means to determine how other members rate each other in an online community such as OtaKai...It is basically a "points system" wherein members can award or deduct reputation points to each other, except themselves...
2.0 Any reminders before using the system?
- At least 20 cumulative posts are needed to use the Reputation System.
- Members can change the reputation points of a specific member only every 15 days.
- Do not use the system to "retaliate" to another member...
- Reputation points are voluntary, and not compulsory...
- The reputation system is put in place to promote goodwill among members...It should not be used scrupulously to advertise/sell toys and wares, nor should it be used to "bait" other members to grant a "favor"...
- All reputation feedbacks can be applied to transactions within the OtaKai board...Reputation feedback does not apply for transactions done in another forum or outside of OtaKai...
examples of misuse of the rep system:
"Please buy from me and I'll give you a +1 rep."
"Please make a banner sig for me and I'll give you a +1 rep."
"Help promote my site or my club and I'll reward you a +1 rep."
3.0 On what instances can I award rep points?
- If you have a successful transaction with another member in terms of sales...
- If the other person has done you a favor and you wish to reward him...
* Note: Please do not confuse the statement with "baiting" another member to granting you a favor)...All transactions are limited to within the OtaKai board...
4.0 On what instances can I deduct rep points from a member?
- This is a last resort, use only if "all means" have been exhausted in resolving an issue or transaction with another member...
- A deduction can be given to penalize scammers or fraudulent members, but should not be used as a form of retaliation...

5.0 How to use reputation system?
- A "reputation" link can be found under the avatar of each member either in post or profile view...
- By clicking on the "+" or "-" symbols in profile view, points can be awarded(+) or deducted(-) from the total reputation points of another member...
- The next screen will be the comment section where members are "required" to put brief details on reputation change...Please be specific and state the reason for the reputation merit/demerit...Avoid comments like "thanks for the deal", "Rep up for you", "I like you so here's a +1 rep"...
6.0 How to contest the reputation points of another member?
- Again, the reputation system is placed here for goodwill...Please be very careful before posting negative comments or giving demerits to someone else's reputation unless it is truly justfiable...Please contact any of the moderators if there is any concern regarding "misuse" of the system...
Note: The "moderators" will review every now and then, the reputation details of each member. Non-specific or fraudulent reputation points will be scrutinized or declared null/void by the SC group.
