I strongly recommend we post the reasons why the stated anime are unforgettable to them...

Here's mine:

Neon Genesis Evangelion. I was more than a decade late in watching it (just watched it last year), but when I saw it with End of Evangelion, it really left a deep feeling in me. It's so different and unique that I really wanna see it as my favorite anime.

Sometimes I even think that we can all be one in the end of the world, and that everyone can live again as long as we are ready to hurt, be hurt, and be different from everyone, as suggested in the End of Evangelion. But don't get me wrong, I'm not renouncing my religion.

It's just NGE is so different from all other anime hence it's really unforgettable for me. It's good that I am mature enough when I saw this (so I was able to understand it), coz if I saw this series when it was originally aired locally, I'd have probably given up on its weirdness.

NGE - because of the heavy Bible-referencing. Xenogears topped this, but I saw NGE first. Also, robots blowing things up, and Kaji+Misato week-long sex marathon. It left such a mark on me that years later I actually ran around school screaming "HAPPY 2ND IMPACT!!!" on 2nd Impact Day.

Azumanga Daioh, Excel Saga, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Lucky Star - because the writers were on crack.

Gurren Lagann - After watching it, you'll really feel like you can do anything.

Oh yeah, I forgot

Higurashi - USODAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Tenchi Muyo - My 1st anime that had a harem story.

DragonBall <<< langya pano mo ba naman makakalimutan DragonBall? Parang eva rin to ang dami paring lumalabas na products!

Dog of Flaunders- I cant believe I cried in this anime .

Princess Sarah - sinusubaybayan ko pero nakakainis d ko napanuod ending

Julio at Julia - hehe who could forget their powers and the song, which nagkakamali pa ako ng lyrics na nalaman ko lang ngayon na mali sya.(Kapag gumuhu na ang mundo guguho din buhay ng tao)<<< wrong lyrics which I kept saying until my gf tells me its wrong

Time Quest - si takure heheh kainis d ko napanuod ending

Recent
Higurashi na kokoro ni/kai - one of the best anime for me because of the thiller, suspense, blood and the nail removing ritual

Mahoromatic - naaliw ako sa story

Gatekeepers - because of this anime I became a GONZO anime fan

Saikano - the most dramatic anime Ive ever seen if you watch this and survive no drama anime will affect you.

Kimi ga nozomu eien - another dramatic story(goodthing napanuod ko saikano so no effect na)
All of my other friends cant stand saikano and kimi ga because its too dramatic.

mahoromatic - shocking.
kiminozo - poor coma-girl.
sola - poor matsuri.
v gundam - great story.

Sailor Moon - Dito nagsimula pagkahilig ko sa anime at nagstart akong magdrawing.

Magic Knight Rayeart - Love the art and story, nagpabili pa ako ng manga nito sa italy... italian nga lang language... haaaay

Ah my Goddess - Cute art. just love the hair of the 3 goddesses.

Samurai X - Very memorable sakin to besides the nice art and story... the month/year this was shown was the month/year my first bf died.

Slayers - I love rina inverse and gouri.

Blood+ - I love the sad story and the twists.

Fate/Stay - I love Saber!

Ghost Fighter (IBC 13/GMA 7) - Great tagalog dubs! I was in HS and still a bit stupendous but I can totally understand the story and the emotions of the characters.

Hunter X Hunter - Nen = very complex but a more realistic approach to super powers; Ryodan = most awesome antagonist group!

Childhood:

-Slam Dunk - I have always loved basketball and that alone is the reason why I can't possibly forget this awesome anime.

-Neon Genesis Evangelion - Even though my mind is quite blurry about this,since i think I watched this back when i was still in Grade 3 or 4 perhaps??; well anyways,Evangelion was like my anime baptism to the new age of anime,away from kiddie type VOLTES V,DAIMOS,VOLTRON,DRAGON BALL,etc.. so of course,this series is unforgettable to me. Thanks to Rebuild of Evangelion i have quite freshen up on the series but I still am planning a rewatch of the TV series itself coz I have different views back then when I watched this when I was a child.

-Ghost Fighter - Always cannot wait for the next episode to be shown when I was a kid.Was very exciting.

-Lupin III - Series was very entertaining and watched it from start to finish.

-Zenki - "PALAKOL NI DIVAAAAAAAA!!!!!"

2000-present

Spirited Away - It's the best movie for me in the whole anime world.That's how bias I am towards this anime.I like it so dang much.

AIR - sobrang halos maiiyak na ako.Grabe.Ang lungkot talaga.Too sad for me to handle.It's as if you felt what the male protagonist is experiencing at the end.

ARIA series - from the first time i saw it to its last season,i've never forgot how calming this series was.It's always in my mind when i think of LIFE itself.

Ah! My goddess series - Belldandy is what keeps me going through rough times.

Samurai Champloo - This is too simple.Because rap music + samurai = win

Gurren Lagann - This is so much epic.Those who have watched this understand why.

Haruhi Suzumiya no Yuutsu - Haruhi is my life.HARUHI-ISM FTW!

Childhood:

Present:
Ah My Goddess - saw this in college, dumbstruck with Belldandy!

Fate Stay Night - the anime series which caused me to start collecting

Macross - the first cartoon where i saw someone die onscreen (Pineapple salad)and my all time unforgettable anime

Code Geass - the political anime that really made me think.

Macross Frontier - one of the better sequels and i think this will also be a classic

Childhood:

Daimos, Voltes V and Robotech Saga (Macross, Southern Cross, Mospeada) - My mom and grandma told me that I was singing Voltes V and Diamos opening songs when I was a kid... hehehe!!! early stage of being an Otaku siguro...

Pre-Teen to Teenage:

Dragon Ball Z - For the sake of just watching advance episodes this resort me on renting every VHS rental shop that has DBZ titles... bought SNES just to play DBZ-3

Yuyu Hakusho - Because of cool opening and ending songs I started collecting Anime CD soundtracks... thus crave me to have a Sony Discman...

Slam Dunk - I went back playing basketball because of the show...

Gundam Wing - This started my model kit cravings...

Macross Plus - The Valkyrie's looks awesome... specially the dog fight scenes...

La Blue Girl and Twins Dolls - hahaha!!! Thanks to GH's black market VHS copies...
